Amhara Association of America Supports Bipartisan House Resolution that Condemns Targeted Ethnic and Religious Killings in Ethiopia


October 9, 2020 Amhara Affiliation of America WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Amhara Affiliation of America (AAA) commends a decision launched at the moment within the U.S. Home of Representatives that deplores the “focused violence and destruction of property directed towards ethnic and non secular minorities” in Ethiopia. The decision, led by Home Overseas Affairs Africa Subcommittee Chairwoman Karen Bass (D-CA-37) and Rating Member Chris Smith (R-NJ-4), expresses concern about varied actions dedicated by governmental and nonstate actors which can be threatening to destabilize Ethiopia’s democratic transition.
